1. Composing : Gathering and selecting material

 

 

Restraints:   keep in mind the deadline, required length, your subject, general purpose and intended readers

 

 

Gathering material: research in library, laboratory experiments, interviews, survey of opinion…

                                     gather as much material as is possible during the time available.

                                   

                                     Do not be selective or critical, jot down notes

                                     Do logical analysis as well as free-wheeling association of brainstorming.

 

                                     If your mind goes blank, try to see the subject from the reader's point of view.

 

 

Q1. what do your readers probably know about your subject?

Q2. what do they probably not know about it?

Q3. what opinions may they now have about it?

Q4. What do you think will be most valuable or interesting in it for them and why?

 

                                     Don't stop even what you think you have enough. Continue until you have exhausted the

                                      possibilities
